The 10-minute Pikmin Day Direct reveals a couple neat bits of new information
Miyamoto really loves Pikmin, enough to launch a whole new yearly “event” in Pikmin Day. The annual showcase of the little creatures will take place on November 1, the date Pikmin 1 launched on the Gamecube, but this first year, for some reason, the celebration landed on October 31.
It could have been an email!
That’s okay, I’m a huge Pikmin fanatic and will let it slide.
For this first Direct, Miyamoto gave an update on Pikmin 4’s Switch 2 Edition (launching next week) and Pikmin Bloom’s new Caves update (launching this Winter). He also debuted a new Pikmin video short in coordination with Nintendo Pictures as a part of the new Hello Pikmin series (NO RELATION), with a new one dropping tomorrow and monthly going forward.
