The original Pikmin shorts help us kick off Pikmin Day
Nintendo held a Pikmin Day today, and in celebration we’re posting the original Pikmin Shorts that the company hosted on the Wii U waaaaay back in the original timeline of the world.
Debuting initially in 2014, the videos were produced by Nintendo and Dynamo Pictures, which would later become known as Nintendo Pictures when the company bought them. They take place on PNF-404 (maybe our planet Earth?) and feature Captain Olimar and the minuscule creatures as they have adventures taking on different aspects of the world. The videos are all based on the first two Pikmin games on GameCube, which are playable now on Switch/Switch 2 in that double pack.
