It’s time to rev up our cozy magic engines with the upcoming Witchbrook
Wizarding schools have taken a hit over the last few years, and we’ve been looking for something to bring back that, erm, MAGIC that we felt when the concept was first gracing our ears and eyes in the late 90s. Chucklefish, the devs behind Eastward and Wargroove, have been working on Witchbrook in hopes of rekindling our love for the genre.
A cozy, life sim wizarding school game, Witchbrook brings us to the town of Mossport where we learn the ropes of the magic trade, do some farming, take some classes, and fall in love. Also, we’ll learn to cast spells! That’s kind of the whole point, isn’t it.
The game has been in development for a while, and late last year it was delayed to an unspecified date. Well, that date is now specified: January 28, 2027. On top of that, the full gambit of platforms has been announced, from the Switch 2 and Playstation to PC, and everything in between.
A nice announcement just ahead of sPoOkY sEaSoN.
